NORTH & EAST AFRICA
Egypt and Ethiopia are two of Africa's most historically and culturally significant countries, each with a rich legacy that spans thousands of years.
Egypt, located in the northeastern corner of Africa, is renowned for its ancient civilization, with iconic landmarks such as the pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Nile River, which has been the lifeblood of Egyptian culture for millennia. The country’s history is deeply intertwined with powerful pharaohs, the rise of the ancient Egyptian empire, and contributions to science, art, and religion that still resonate today.
Ethiopia, to the south of Egypt, is one of the world’s oldest nations, known for its ancient Christian heritage and being the home of the ancient Kingdom of Aksum, which was a powerful empire in the early centuries of the common era. Ethiopia is also famed for its stunning landscapes, from the highlands to the Great Rift Valley, and its unique culture, including its own alphabet and language.
Both countries are vital in understanding the origins of human civilization, and their histories continue to influence modern Africa and the world.
